Cats are well known to be weirdos, but no one knows just how weird they are other than their pawrents. And today we are lucky enough to have some of those curious quirks exposed by the feline pawrents of the world.

As you might have expected, each and every cat's quirk is unique, like a snowflake. Sure, most are based around particular foods, but even within that category there is a plethora of variety and variations in the strange things that these cats like to get up to. Which is honestly rather delightful to hear that they might be even a little stranger and more particular than some of us hoomans who seem to have little to no limits on the strange things we are into.

  • Cats man. Their wills and wants in this world are truly inexplicable. One day they want to consume a whole head of tuna. The next, all they want is to inspect and indulge in an ear of corn. Who knows what other wacky surprises this cat child will have in store for his pawrent. Though surprises might be the wrong word considering there is nothing that will be all too surprising after showing a deep interest in corn. Not even cooked corn or corn in the can, just a raw piece of corn on the cob. The only rational explanation is that this cat might have been a corn farmer in a former life…

    One of my cats will investigate and nibble on carrot shavings when I'm cooking. My other cat will interrupt us eating every time and try to take it off your fork, even though he doesn't know what you're eating. Pic for reference:

  • Oook, this is an interesting one. Most cats centre their quirks around food, likely because it is the main driving factor in their lives. But this cat seems to be motivated by something quite different to want to indulge in this particular quirk. It is the kind of quirk that makes us believe even more in the theory of reincarnation and that this cat might have lived an interesting life as a hooman where they particularly enjoyed the feeling of being walked all over. And it was such a strong passion that it has managed to make its way into this life too. So, so strange.

    This little goober absolutely LOVES cucumbers, tomatoes, mushrooms and bell peppers. Currently, I think his fav is apple. He used to s k all the juice out of pieces of radish leaving shriveled pieces on the floor, but now no longer likes them at all. Odd cat to be sure.

    My older cat (2) will sit on my fiancé's lap and eat little pieces of beef jerky with him he's quite nice to her for someone who "just puts up with her".
